Intermediate-Advanced  training Weeks. 1st - 8th May

We've teamed up with Phil Jarvis on these intensive training weeks.

The emphasis on these weeks will be on educating the Athlete to get the most from themselves in the allotted time they have and is aimed towards those who have been taking part in triathlon for a couple of seasons and would like to raise the bar in their training and racing. Perhaps you have plateaued, not improving at the rate you want to, Phil will look at the reasons why and help you progress to the next level.

As a BTF level 2 Triathlon coach, Phil can provide one to one coaching across all three Triathlon disciplines and  distances. He  has 22 years of strength and conditioning training experience and will be able to impart a lot of knowledge in this area via our on site gym. He considers this to be an extremely important area that is neglected by a lot of endurance Athletes especially Age group Athletes.

You will be shown  techniques to get  fitter and stronger over the week. The course will cover power and strength training techniques across all 3 disciplines that will help with overall efficiency and endurance. Time will be spent coaching individually, giving the athlete plenty of techniques to take away with them  to work and improve with in preparation for their chosen distance.

Also, please be assured that your specialist training week will be packed with all the latest Sports science advice as Phil is constantly in touch with cutting edge advice.

He will conduct technique assessments or work through particular drills or sessions designed to increase body awareness and increase efficiency of movement across all three disciplines. Heart rate monitor use will be discussed along with power based cycling training and integrated into some sessions throughout the week.

Optimal bike setup with regard to cycling efficiency and aerodynamics will be discussed and integrated into the weeks session's in order for the Athlete to get a handle on what can be achieved with a little fine tuning. This will also be incorporated into a cycling time trial scenario.

Nutrition will be covered with particular emphasis on meal timing with regard to training and recovery.

Ultimately you will receive a personalised training plan to follow on your return home to fully absorb your training skills learned during the week.
