Girls only weeks.
These weeks are new to 2010. We had so many girls just starting in triathlon in 2009 that we're going to run a couple of girlie weeks this coming season.
With so many of you getting into Triathlon as the popularity of our sport grows, its time to look at the different needs of the female athlete.
You only have to look at the huge success of Chrissie Wellington to realise the possibilities of women in Triathlon.
So.... ask yourself, how far do you want to take it?
First you need the basics of training and racing no matter where you see yourself in 2-3 years, now is the time to concentrate on what will make all that training pay off.
Poor first impressions of sport at school are often the reason adult females do not exercise in later life. With triathlon its never to late to reach levels of fitness that you may not have thought possible.
Apart from all the serious stuff "girls just want to have fun" and we'll have plenty of that.
