Racing in France
All levels of athlete can enjoy racing in France. We have carefully selected a few races, which we have found to be well organised and supported and invite you to join us.
We will arrange everything from the transport to and from the race to the entries and even a pasta party the night before.
The great thing about racing in France is that the authorities close the roads for event the smallest of races.
There is just one requirement to racing in France. You must have a current insurance to enter. We have found that joining the BTA to be the easiest, if you haven’t already.
Race Calender 2010
16th May - Parc de St Cyr, Yvelines Try a tri and Sprint distance events. Beautiful park setting with swim in the lake, undulating bike course and a run around the lake.
30th May - Poitiers Marathon.
Held inside futuroscopes mutimedia theme park. Entries cost €30 before Jan 31st and entitle the holder to free entry into the park to use the facilities. www.marathon-poitiers-futuroscope.com
13th June - Sireuil, Poitou Charantes Try a tri, Sprint and long distance events, well organised race with approx ...?..entries, The start which is up river, you are taken to on a tractor trailer. swim point to point in river, hilly bike course in laps, run flat. draws a crowd.
TBC September- Joues les Tours Try a tri, super sprint and sprint distance events. Great for family and spectators. Swim in the lake, bike laps, some challenging hills, run around the lake.
9th and 10th October - Parthenay, Deux Sévres...
Kids, super sprint, sprint, regional championships.
